Hey there!
Welcome to the tiny place in cyberspace of a girl who blogs her blues away. And well, maybe out of boredom as well.
How on earth you found your way here may be intentional or completely random, but you're welcome to look around either way.

the wallflower
Wallflower (wall·flow·er) Definition
One who does not participate in the activity at a social event because of shyness or unpopularity.
A lady at a ball, who, either from choice, or because not asked to dance, remains a spectator.
As the term suggests, I shy away from a lot of things, parties and balls/dances being top 1 and top 2 respectively.
I'm a small girl you won't probably notice in a crowd. On top of that, I'm a natural klutz, the holder of a seemingly record-breaking list of misplaced items, an amateur anything, and an over-thinker who oftentimes lets her head rule her heart.
I'm still normal okay, don't get me wrong. haha... I'm a kid at heart who is easily pleased with simple things. One who carries a pinch of optimism, a tinkling of charm, and loads of laughs. I'm still trying to find my place in this vast expanse, but I'm having tons of fun along the way.
I'll find that light someday, I'm sure! But for now, I'll slow things down a bit and enjoy the ride.
My life's not the most spectacular thing that you'll come across, but it's worth a look :)

Anyway. Today was the Ward Home Evening at Church. There's not really much to say about it, just that there was a lot of singing. I guess you could say it was sing-along themed because the main game was a Singing Bee and the videoke machine was, well, "overused" before and after dinner.
Oh yeah, I drove to Church and going home! haha... That makes my after-A1 drives 3 total. It's so funny how my mom and two brothers still get so nervous and/or stressed when I'm behind the wheel. My dad seems pretty confident already about my driving though, but he's still super alert. It's his car I'm driving, after all! haha... Bro. Phares rode with us going home, and he too, didn't seem too keen about the idea that I'd be driving. I don't blame them today though, I've never drove home from Church, and Church is quite some distance from home. It's also hard to get past all those drivers who violate the most important rules of the road, especially signaling when changing lanes. Well anyway, so what did my family and Bro. Phares do to calm down? They sang Bohemian Rhapsody! If you heard this song already, you'll know why I was so distracted. We dropped Bro. Phares off at Rustan's, and I checked on my mom aand my brothers at the back. They were sweating, my mom said it was my fault. haha!
Change topic. About my entry yesterday... Uhmm... I don't know if I should say that I feel better now knowing that I'm not the only one who thinks that I deserved it. At least my paranoia of being a selfish glory hog has gone. I talked to my best friend about the issue, and she told me that it's my friend who has issues. haha... I'll just skip the details. At least I know there's one person who has given me a logical explanation for all this. Thanks Alliv, you helped a lot!
I'm gonna sleep now. If I wake up early tomorrow, I can drive to Church again! heehee... Good night!
I never really thought of it (let's just call it an it for now) being possible for me. I never even used to care if it would happen. So why do I care all of a sudden? To be perfectly honest, I don't know. I don't know who or what about it really bothers me, but what I do know is, I have myself to blame.
Inaamin kong malabo talaga yung rason kung bakit ako nalulungkot. I didn't I guess my hopes just flew past their borders. Di bale na, I'll make myself worthy to be included next time.
School just started this week, and already I feel like it's going to be another nightmare. Well maybe not all the subjects, just accounting. It's my first time ever to have classes in accounting. I don't think I'll like my professor very much, and I hate that my classes are at 8 in the morning! "Good morning Jenn, time for accounting", imagine that. Pfft. Ang gastos pati ng subject na yun. Just 13 more grueling weeks of accounting and it's over!
Let's track back to my summer. This summer has honestly been one of the more memorable ones. It's been busy, but fun nonetheless.
Summer training. I already blogged something about the start of summer training in my previous entry, and it held true 'til the end. I wasn't in Ultra every training day (because of the Youth Con, Baguio, driving school), but I think I've gotten a lot better already. It felt weird when I didn't train because I missed seeing my coaches and teammates even if I was gone for just a day. haha... It was also nice having Coach Ramil give you one-on-one lessons and seeing him pleased after you've done something right. Like I said, "I'm a happy foilist".

Multi-stake Youth Conference. Yeah, I know I mentioned last year that I wouldn't be able to join the next one because I'd already be 18 then -- I was dead wrong! This year, I was able to go, but as a leader. I was made head of the Dance Social Committee, and I'm pleased to say that it was a success! My (fellow?) leaders helped me with everything, and I owe it all to them for helping me with the preparations and that I was able to tag along this year. Thank you so much!
That's just part of it though. What meant most to me during this camp was being around my dear friends from Church for three whole days! QC Stake wasn't with us anymore, just Novaliches. I met up with old friends from Nova again, but what happened after the camp is another story. If you're my friend, you'll know what I'm talking about. *wink wink*

Baguio. Our family has been a regular in Baguio Country Club (always in penthouse 14 too) every summer ever since my brothers and I were still kids. But for the past few years, we haven't gotten the chance to got there as a family because of our conflicting schedules.
Super relaxed kami sa Baguio. Except for the rain, the weather was great and the air still fresh as ever. It was nice not having anyone to wake you up because we needed to go somewhere. BCC's reached 100 years and it still looks great.
We were able to go there again after 3 or 4 years, finally! Ate Tess came along as well. We didn't visit our regular stops (Camp John Hay, Burnham, PMA, Session Road, etc.) anymore. We just wanted to relax, so we played bowling, swam, slept, watched TV, jacuzzied, Minesviewed, SM Baguioed, slept some more, etc. My dad and I were supposed to teach my brothers how to ride a bike, but it was always raining in the afternoon. Aww... I sooo wanted to see them fall of their bikes. bwahaha!
the A1 experience
Driving School. I now know how to drive thanks to A1 driving school's Sir Jun (Katipunan Branch) for being oh so patient with me. haha... I was a bit nervous when I started driving and the car (I drove a Lancer) died often (heehee my bad), but I got the hang of using the clutch in the end. I enrolled in 2 additional hours of driving an automatic car after my 10 hours of manual.

Happy, happy 18th birthday to two of my dearest friends!Mga Relief Society na kayo! haha!
We threw them a (dapat) surprise party, for their 18th. Ginulat kami ng Young Men kasi ang ganda ng pagkaayos nila ng lugar. They did a splendid job, I didn't expect anything like it at all. haha... Dahil konti lang kami, di kami nakabuo ng 18 people each for roses, wishes, and treasures. Ginawa namin? 6 roses, 6 wishes, and 6 treasures each para 18 pa rin.
my idol, David Archuleta
American Idol. To tell you the truth, I've never really watched American Idol except for a few episodes of Fantasia's and Jordin's seasons. Season 7 of America's most-watched show, however, caught my attention after hearing David Archuleta's audition of "Waiting on the World to Change". I was so drawn to his voice! What made me even more interested was finding out that there were 2 Mormons (like me) who made it to the Top 24 - David Archuleta and Brooke White. I did miss Danny Noriega a lot though. He should have stayed longer! He would have made Idol more interesting to watch. The video below is my favorite part of Idol this season.
I love you Danny Noriega! He's so funny. haha...
That's that I guess. I do hope I'll still have time to blog later on, I miss blogging a lot. 'Til next time!
