Wallflower (wall·flow·er)
Definition
- One who does not participate in the activity at a social event because of shyness or unpopularity.
- A lady at a ball, who, either from choice, or because not asked to dance, remains a spectator.
As the term suggests, I shy away from a lot of things, parties and balls/dances being top 1 and top 2 respectively.
I'm a small girl you won't probably notice in a crowd. On top of that, I'm a natural klutz, the holder of a seemingly record-breaking list of misplaced items, an amateur anything, and an over-thinker who oftentimes lets her head rule her heart.
I'm still normal okay, don't get me wrong. haha... I'm a kid at heart who is easily pleased with simple things. One who carries a pinch of optimism, a tinkling of charm, and loads of laughs. I'm still trying to find my place in this vast expanse, but I'm having tons of fun along the way.
I'll find that light someday, I'm sure! But for now, I'll slow things down a bit and enjoy the ride.
My life's not the most spectacular thing that you'll come across, but it's worth a look :)

It was only yesterday that I discovered that last-minute plans push through for the Green Fencers. It was barely a day before the night out when Gazel started texting the team about a movie night out. I thought it would be moved, but it wasn't! It surprised me that everyone was just a text away.
Alliv and I went ahead to MOA because she had a derma appointment (Thank you for taking us Joey! Nice meeting you Dana!). After hours of seemingly endless waiting for Alliv, she finally popped out of the clinic and we met up with Apol, Francis, Gazel, Jason, Mylo, and Shio. We watched Ratatouille. IT WAS SO CUTE! The cute mice and the corny pick-up lines are still vivid in my head! You should watch it! Napasigaw pa si Mylo ng wala sa oras, sige lang, exercise your vocal chords. haha...
We met up with David, Mabz, and Migz after the movie. We also saw Ferms, by the way. He didn't go with us though, sayang. We had dinner after then went around until the stored started closing. Mylo met up with someone, so she went ahead. Francis, Gazel, Jason, and Shio went home afterwards too. Alliv, Apol, David, Mabz, Migz, and I, on the other hand, had nothing better to do, so we decided to go to Manila Bay.
I tried taking photos of them, but it was too dark and everyone was conscious of the cockroaches. I'm still not a very good photographer though, sorry for the bad pictures guys. Gagaling din ako, promise. It was fun playing around, I still keep laughing at their pictures and their poses.

Other training photos are already up and ready for viewing. Comments please! haha... OH NO click HERE for last Tuesday's photos

This week would have been torture if it weren't for fencing. It's nice hanging-out with friends from the team feeling that you don't have a care in the world. The you-know-whos, of course, added more spark to each day. I love the team talaga. Thanks so much guys! I hope was can all go out again soon!

Yeah! I forgot to mention it in my previous entry, but I was already assigned a fencing sword - SABRE. Being in the Sabre team means a lot of things to me - new adjustments, new people to be with (my newbie friends are all assigned to different swords now), and the ever *insert name here* thing. I'm sooo happy that I was put here!
I had my first training with Coach Galo and the rest of the Sabre team today. Too bad it was just me and CO from the newbies who trained today. It's fine though, at least Coach Galo will get to concentrate on us more. It was really hard to adjust because like Alliv said, we're back to zero. Zero in the sense that everything taught to a newbie was way different with the Sabre. We were taught to tense a bit, but in Sabre, we were asked to relax. The way we held our sword was different too. It's a tough transition, but I'm sure we'll get it right in time. The others were in Araneta watching the game between La Salle and Ateneo (I guess).
SPEAKING OF THE GAME... We lost by three points. I don't think it's such a big deal though, three points doesn't lessen the prestige and pride of being a Lasallian. ANIMO LA SALLE!
I'm too lazy to update. haha...
I haven't uploaded the training photos this week yet, but they'll be up soon.

I didn't think I'd ever get to the point where I'd be crying about my grades again. This term has been worse than last term because I feel that I really will fail 12 units in La Salle. I'm failing COMALGE, HISTCIV, FILDLAR, and maybe even KASPIL2. It alarmed me at first because I thought that failing 15 units in La Salle could get you kicked out; thank goodness I had a lot of friends who told me that it doesn't work that way. Kaya pa actually gapangin yung 6 units, but I don't know how good my chances are. Gusto ko na talagang umiyak. What's wrong with me? Why couldn't I just have followed my flowchart? I should have listened to my mom... I already got a taste of these subjects early in the term and was given the chance to drop them, but why didn't I? I totally regret not doing so. *cries* That's one thing that's been bothering me for the past days, but today's a new day, and another bothersome issue. I'd rather not talk about it here, but I already told a few of my trusted friends about it. I have to chose between dictates and what I feel. I feel strongly about belonging here, but people say that I belong over there. Here, I'm confident that I fit in (many people agreed to that), I'll be taught by a "zen-like" mentor, and I'll satisfy my intuition's belief. There, I have a lot of friends, get the chance to finally talk to someone, and get the awesome feeling of being hand-picked by this group's mentors. I recall myself saying "kahit saan niyo ako ilagay okay lang" before when I was asked where I really wanted to be. Yet, here I am whining over what was already decided upon. It's not that I don't want to belong there, but when it was announced that it was where I was to be in, I felt the sudden urge to attest to the decision. The funny thing was that the pros of belonging there don't seem to matter much anymore. I know, "listen to your heart" is gonna kick in again, but what if the dictates are right? I haven't, after all, always made the best decisions for myself. Sila naman yung nakakakita kung saan ako bagay diba? Why not trust them? Maybe I've just closed my mind on one thing that I've totally blind to the beauty of a whole new scene. On the other hand, it's not everyday that I get the urge to say that something doesn't seem right. These strong feeling come to me once every blue moon, but when I get them, I know I'm right. Should I trust myself this time? Feelings do affect one's psychology and outlook, after all. I'm so confused. Or maybe I'm just thinking too much again. I've decided to trust their decisions now, but if this feeling won't subside, I'd better start talking before I start regretting again. I hope the answer would come to me in a dream or something so this will be all settled in the morning. Oh yeah, I've uploaded loads of pictures in MY MULTIPLY already. You can go check them out if you want. Labels: erase from memory, reality check

My foot still hurts, but I'll probably be able to train on Tuesday already. Yay!
Thursday...
I was watching the fencing training with Dannah last Tuesday. I took a lot of pictures again because I wasn't allowed to train. I had fun talking and taking blackmail shots with Dannah. haha!
FERMS THE GREAT click HERE for a sneak peek
Take note, I'm proud of the captions I put. haha!
Some of us were supposed to have dinner together, but turns out that some of us had places to be, so it was just me, Alliv, Gazel, and Ogge in Don Don. Ang dami nang chismis. bwahaha... Hopefully, we'll be a lot more next time.
Friday....
I finished watching "Boys Don't Cry". It was nice, although a bit violent. It won a lot of awards, and it was based on a true story - I didn't think people could be so indifferent to changes. It made me want to think about my own perspectives too. You should watch it.
I didn't attend two of my classes because it was raining so hard. Oh well. Blog time! haha!
My mom picked me up because I found it really hard to walk because of my sprain. We ended up paying the taxi driver 200+ because of the rain and the traffic.
Saturday...
I finally saw my relatives from Saudi! I missed them so much! We had dinner in Racks. I had a little argument with my youngest brother about the difference between lying and joking. We fought and we're still not talking, I think it's kinda amusing. haha...
I'll post the pictures next time, still to lazy and too much stuff to do... Grr...
Today...
I've been putting my thoughts together today. Yes, drama mode ako ngayon. It's like this.
Put yourself in this situation.
You've finally decided to try something you've never tried before like say, Zagu. For weeks, it's been all about Zagu. You look for Zagu all the time and feel so happy after drinking the seemingly "best thing that's come your way". After a while though, you'll discover that it has a bad effect - too much of it stains your teeth. No matter how much you brush your teeth, you'll see that it has indeed left its mark on you. What's worse is that no matter how much you try to divert your attention to better, healthier things (like newly-baked Apple pies or fresh Raspberry shakes), you'd still have to live with the stain Zagu has left on your teeth.
Wouldn't you feel that you shouldn't have gotten a sip of it in the first place?
Oh well...

I sprained my foot yesterday. It's bandaged now... Kulit-kulit ko kasi, yan tuloy. I wasn't able to train because of it, and I doubt I'll be able to train on Thursday.
What happened? Migz and I were playing around (okay, kicking each other with taekwondo kicks). I had a bad fall because he removed the foot I was oh so idiotically stepping on. BLAG! David brought me to the clinic in the 9th floor, and he stayed with me until Ate Mads (tama ba?) let me go. I played the mouse game thingy in his phone to entertain myself. haha! Thank you so much David!
When I went down, I felt so helpless because I couldn't even walk straight. Ughh... I was sitting down the whole time, except when David wasn't looking. haha! I just took pictures of them while training and in between breaks to spare myself from idleness. The newbies plus Yuri were asked to sing, sort of an initiation. We sang "Breaking Free", but coach Al insisted on Salbakuta songs! haha! When Yuri started singing, we all walked out! haha! It was sooo funny!
May hang-over pa yun! Alliv were asking who wanted to go videoke-ing and surprisingly, many were willing, so we decided to go videoke-ing. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't with us, so decided to have dinner in Dimsum and Dumplings instead. It was nice being stranded with Alliv, Gazel, Yuri, Michael, and Ross. It was a real laugh trip from our crazy antics down to the *insert name here* issues! haha! We HAVE to do this again next time! VIDEOKE!
OUR EARLY ANCESTOR click HERE to join the weirdoism
I also posted the picture from the sleepover with Alliv, Arik, and Migz. We watched Shutter (it wasn't scary okay, seriously) and played clue. We were also singing at the top of our lungs and it felt sooo good. haha! Sabog na kaming lahat pagkatapos! We were up until 5 in the morning.
I took many continuous shots again. Gotta love 'em. haha...
THREE-DIMENSIONAL LOSER click HERE to view more photos
Oh yeah, before the sleepover, Arik and I watched a play, Virgin Labfest III, in CCP with Monique. It was required and I missed going to theaters anyway, so we went. Opening scene pa lang, nakadisturb na. The frist mention of the "F word" freaked me out, but the next scene made we want to walk out - two guys FK-ing in a bath tub NOT WEARING ANYTHING. I did not expect that at all. It's VERY disturbing. haha...
And, I have a new look! I had my glasses made last week and hair my hair cut last Sunday. I'm glad that people think my new look suits me. Weeeee!
I'VE MUTATED click HERE to laugh
It doesn't take a genius to realize a camera's real value. haha...
Tito Boboy, Tita Evelyn, Lauren, and Liann (relatives from Saudi) are arriving tomorrow! I miss the so much! I can't wait to see them on Saturday!

The adventure didn't really begin until before the UBreak.
Before the UBreak, me, Alliv, Jeoya, and Nick went to Harrison to pick up Alliv's fencing jacket and I wanted to buy a VCD of Shutter. We split ways - me and Jeoya looked for the VCD, while Nick accompanied Alliv to PEAK. I got my VCD then went to PEAK. 30 minutes were spent waiting for nothing - the jacket hasn't been delivered yet. Unfortunately, di tumupad sa usapan yung mananahi, dapat ngayong 11 na yun makukuha eh. We decided to come back some other time, we were already way past the meeting time for the pep rally.
When we got there, we were handed bandanas - our first freebie for the day! haha... Pep Rally time! It sure was a very different experience actually being part of the parade of athletes. GO FENCING TEAM! haha... I took lotsa pictures!
SKIRTS AND HAIRY LEGS click HERE to view more photosIya Villania hosted the program along with another girl and guy. There were performances by the DLSU Pep Squad and LSDC Street, and there were games and a modelling show later on, but I didn't finish the program anymore because I still had one more class to attend.
It was really hot, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I got a hat thing and an inflatable stick thing with DLSU printed on it.
Nakakdrain ng energy yung init! Bagsak ako sa kama pagkatapos ng klase ko! haha! I had dinner with Ate Kat, Ate Core, and Tin when I woke up because of Tin's IM full of audibles. Grrr... haha...
Oh yeah, our Shutter-inspired photos are already posted. YOU'LL NEVER KNOW click HERE to view more picturesI'm gonna watch Shutter with Alliv, Migz, and Adrian tomorrow, can't wait!

I can't believe it, Monday already? The weekend seemed to go by so quickly...
Last Saturday...
My brothers and I watched Transformers. IT'S SO COOL! Shia LaBeouf's character there was sooo different from his character in Even Stevens - he went from comedy to action. His hair was different too, it looks better! haha... I really can't explain how much I loved this movie except that it's wicked awesome! It was the first time that I've seen an audience clap after a movie! After a play yes, but after a movie? WOW. It's that good, I'm telling you! If you haven't watched it yet, watch it! It's a must see!
Oh yeah, I found out that Manman is courting is ex girlfriend again... Oh well...
Last Sunday...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!
click HERE to view more photosWe were supposed to celebrate her birthday in some Greek restaurant, but it was already full, so we ate in the restaurant next to it instead (Paloma). The food was good, and service crew was super friendly.
I started making paper frogs again (Kim, kasalanan mo to! haha!). Lester wanted to learn how to make them too, so I taught him. Later on we started making them jump - so did David, Daddy, and Mommy! haha... We tried shooting them to the leftover dips for fun after the meal.
We headed to Megamall after because I wanted to buy a new pair of glasses and a printer that I could use in the dorm (that would really help avoid the very long lines for printing in the internet shops here). I found a nice pair of glasses, but I won't get them until tomorrow, so I decided to postpone my hair cut as well. Gusto ko talaga sobrang mag-iiba itsura ko kahit mukha na akong nerd, maiba lang talaga. haha... I got my printer and it came with a Transformers shirt. It's way too big for me, so I gave it to my brother.
Yesterday...
I ate with Camille in Red Ribbon and them hung-out with her and Arik afterwards. We were supposed to go karaoke-ing, but it was raining, so our plans were foiled. Sayang, nahahatak na namin ni Camille si Arik. haha... We'll go next time, and NO Arik, you can't chicken out. *big smile*
I went back here then had dinner with Migz. He brought a PSP with him that had Tekken in it, so i played while he was eating. I kept losing. Whaaaah... Alliv joined us a few minutes later, then we had ice cream. Split decision again - we headed to Alliv's condo where we played clue, took Shutter-inspired pictures (which I will upload later on), and ate again. This went on until 1! haha! I slept there because it was way past my curfew (12:00). It was sooo much fun hanging-out with Alliv, Migz, and even Adrian (Alliv's brother). Split decisions rock, we should do that more often. haha...
Today...
My acads were okay, I guess. Training was tiring (as usual), but was less stressful because we played the game we played last Thursday. It was more fun because there were more of us and there were two pairs chasing each other now, not just one. I think I'm progressing too (finally)! Yay! Alliv, CO, Arik, Migz, Francis, and I went to KFC after. Sikreto na yung mga pinag-usapan namin... COW AND CHICKEN! haha!
Alliv, Arik, Migz, and I also saw Sir Oyong while we were hanging-out in the Amphi. I miss Sir Oyong the Great! haha... I went to Alliv's condo after. Thanks talaga for listening Alliv, sobrang pinagaan mo yung feeling ko. *hugs*
Anyway...
I still want to play with a water gun. haha...
